CARROLLTON, GA – The Audrey C. Crowder Perseverance Scholarship was established in memory of Audrey Crowder, a long-time employee of Carrollton High School, by her family. Throughout her long, courageous battle with cancer, perseverance allowed her to continue to work and help others at CHS while dealing with the trials of her illness. This award is given to a senior involved in the basketball program who has demonstrated academic excellence with plans to pursue higher education. This year’s recipient is Chenoria Addison, pictured here with Ms. Crowder’s son Michael Hilbert and his wife, Kym. The scholarship was presented at the 36th annual Academic Achievement Awards Program April 21 at the Joshua R. Mabry Center for the Arts.
