CARROLLTON, GA — Recently, Carrollton High School debate team members and students in the Law and Public Safety class toured the State of Georgia Supreme Court. The group was able to meet and talk to Justice Verda Colvin, the first African American female to be appointed to serve on the State Supreme Court. They also visited the Capitol and were able to observe debates on the House of Representatives and the Senate floors. The students met with members of both Houses who serve Carrollton and Carroll County.
