The Laws of Life contest is a character education and ethical literacy program for high school students. It encourages teenagers to articulate their values and ideals, and it recognizes and rewards good character.

Rotary clubs across Georgia conduct the Laws of Life contest as an outreach program to high school students in the state. The essay contest complements Rotary’s emphasis on education, values, high ethical standards and service to others, and has quickly become a signature program for Georgia Rotarians. Locally, the Carrollton Dawnbreakers Rotary Club sponsors the contest. Participation was strong at CHS with 1,373 essays written. Statewide, more than 30,000 high school students entered the contest this year. School winner Olivia Cranford’s was in the top 24.
