Six Carrollton High School football players have decided to further their education and play at the next level after signing on Wednesday, Dec. 4. The six signees set a school record for most players signing during the early signing period, surpassing the previous mark of five in 2020.
CARROLLTON, GA — Six Carrollton High School football players signed with college programs on National Early Signing Day to continue their athletic careers.
Offensive lineman Cole Norred will play at East Tennessee State University, quarterback Julian Lewis is headed to the University of Colorado, defensive back Shamar Arnoux is committed to Florida State University, defensive back Zelus Hicks will attend the University of Texas, defensive back/wide receiver Kai Callen is going to James Madison University, and wide receiver AJ McNeil will play at the University of Tennessee-Martin.
The six signees set a school record for most players signing in one year, surpassing the previous mark of five set in 2020.
“This is a special moment for these young men,” head coach Joey King said. “Their hard work and dedication are a credit to our coaching staff and team. We know they all have bright futures in store. I’m very happy and proud of them.”
