Carrollton Police say a woman and an infant in a stroller were struck by vehicles on Tom Reeve Drive Wednesday morning.
“Approximately 7:30 Wednesday morning a vehicle struck a woman pushing a stroller as she attempted to cross Tom Reeve Drive,” Carrollton Public Affairs Officer, Meredith Browning told WLBB Radio. “We believe she was in the center turn lane when the vehicle approached.”
Investigator Chris Wright says he believes darkness contributed to the incident. “I do not believe speed was a factor at all,” he said.
After the woman was struck by the vehicle, her stroller with infant inside, was propelled forward into a lane of oncoming traffic, and was struck by a moving vehicle.
Both the adult female and infant were life-flighted to an Atlanta-area hospital.
