A Waverly Hill, Georgia man remains in the Carroll County Jail after Villa Rica Police investigators say he assaulted and held his girlfriend hostage for two days inside a Commerce Drive Days Inn Hotel room.
Bond had not yet been set for 41-year old Shawn Russel Glover as of Wednesday morning.
Glover is accused of tasing the female victim with a stun gun, biting her, and beating her with a metal back scratcher. She was taken to Tanner Medical for treatment.
Investigators also uncovered a stolen 9mm handgun, methamphetamine, and cocaine in the hotel room. The 37-year old victim has now also been charged for possession of those drugs.
