Two Hiram men are behind bars in Carroll County. They were arrested by Carrollton Police after investigators said the pair forced two Sprint store employees back into the business after closing time and robbed them of thousands of dollars of merchandise at gun-point.
The two victims told police that they had left the Sprint store on South Park Street after closing on Friday evening. They were then approached by two masked men in the parking lot: one with a handgun, the other with a wood and black pump shotgun.
The suspects forced the employees to fill a trash bin with cell phones,I-Pads and Beats by Dre headphones.
The suspects left the store and the victims called police. No one was physically injured.
Carrollton Police issued a “be on the lookout” for the suspects. A Carroll County deputy located the suspects’ vehicle and a high speed chase ensued ending in Bremen, where one of the suspects was taken into custody. The second suspect was located and arrested on Saturday.
Charged with armed robbery are 19-year old Ainsley Donovan Francis and Zachariah Lee Jarrell.
