WOODSTOCK – Haralson County will add another trophy to the trophy case at Haralson County High School. This one will be displayed next to the two slow-pitch state title trophies the Rebels won in back-to-back fashion in 2017 and 2018.

On Thursday, Haralson County took the field twice on the final day of competition in the state tournament at Twin Creeks Park. Game one matched Haralson County against West Laurens, with the Rebels picking up a 6-1 victory sending West Laurens to face Cherokee.

Cherokee would squeeze by West Laurens by a final of 8-7, sending them forward to face Haralson County.

In the championship game, runs were in abundance between Haralson County and Cherokee compared to the first time these two met on Wednesday, where Haralson County edged Cherokee by one run, 3-2. In the final game, Haralson County would reach the summit to claim victory for their third state title by a final of 18-15.
