A former employee with the Georgia State Department of Audits who also has experience as a court mediator and is a member of the Carroll County Board of Equalization has notified the Carroll County Elections Office of his intent to qualify to run for the vacant District Five seat on the Carroll County Board of Commissioners.
61-year old Ernest Reynolds has lived in Carroll County for about 40 years. The last 20 years he has lived on his 100-plus acres of property in the Clem-Lowell community where he has raised horses and meat goats.
“I think that my government experience where I audited the performance and effectiveness, efficiency, management of government programs gives me a good experience base to apply that now to local government,” said Reynolds.
Qualifying for the District Five commission race is May 8-10.
The special election is June 18.
