The Community Foundation of West Georgia is excited to announce the opening of grant applications for two impactful funding opportunities: the Power of the Purse (POP) Grant and the Community Impact Grant.
The Power of the Purse (POP) Grant is dedicated to supporting initiatives benefiting women and children in Carroll, Haralson, and Heard counties.
Through this grant, the Community Foundation aims to empower organizations striving to make a difference in the lives of women and children within our community. From educational programs to healthcare initiatives, the POP Grant
serves as a catalyst for positive change.
Additionally, nonprofit organizations serving Carroll, Haralson, and Heard counties are invited to apply for the Community Impact Grant. This grant focuses on addressing critical needs and fostering community development across four key areas:
Arts & Culture: Supporting initiatives for the promotion of the arts, historic preservation and community engagement for all ages.
Education: Investing in programs that enhance learning opportunities, academic achievement, and lifelong skills development.
Environment: Promoting environmental sustainability, conservation efforts, and initiatives that protect and preserve our natural resources.
Social Services: Providing essential services and resources to improve the well-being and quality of life for individuals and families in need.

Nonprofit organizations interested in applying for either grant are encouraged to visit the Community Foundation of West Georgia’s website at cfwg.net for more information and to access the application forms. All applicants are encouraged
to review the guidelines to determine their eligibility. The deadline to apply for the POP Grant is June 30th, 2024. The deadline for Community Impact is August 1st, 2024.
