Chairman Michelle Morgan re-appointed as a member of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Steering Committee by NACo (National Association of Counties).
The Agriculture and Rural Affairs Steering Committee is responsible for all matters pertaining to USDA agriculture, rural development programs, rural renewable energy development, research and extension, food safety, and conservation programs.
Chairman Morgan will participate in monthly conference calls and attend both NACo’s Legislative and Annual Conferences. Congress and federal agencies look for and receive feedback on legislative policy from the committee while decisions are being made in Washington D.C.
Chairman Morgan is proud to serve on this committee on a State level and looks as this as an opportunity to continue to share information and learn from county colleagues throughout our community.
