Central High School Crowns 2024 Homecoming King and Queen

(Carrollton, Georgia). Central High School announced the 64th
Homecoming King and Queen during last Friday night’s football game. The Central High School Homecoming Kings’ Court presentation began just before kickoff with Andrew Maxwell
crowned Homecoming King and Marshun Horton crowned Prince. During halftime, Annabelle Turpin was crowned Homecoming Queen and Rachel Wilson crowned Princess.
Annabelle Turpin is the daughter of Marla and Charles Turpin. She is a member of the competition cheer, football cheer, gymnastics, and track teams. She is Senior Class President, vice president of chorus, participates in musical theater, and leads worship at Southern Hills.
Annabelle is president of Beta Club, and a member of Sources of Strength, FCA, Interact club, and the 2nd period puzzle club.

Her biggest accomplishments are being a state champion cheerleader, literary region champion for argumentative essay writing, Rotary Youth Leadership talent show and Carrollton City Teen Idol competition runner up. She earned AP scholar, all region
cheerleader, and is on the Carroll County Schools Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council.
After high school she plans to attend the University of Georgia and major in biology to become a dermatologic surgeon. She was escorted by her father, Charles Turpin.
Rachel Wilson is the daughter of Mitchell Wilson and Pamela Clanton. She is a member of the varsity girls’ basketball team, National Honor Society, Beta Club, Spanish National Honor
Society, Key Club, Environmental Club and Interact Club.
She is most proud of earning the University of Georgia Certificate of Merit, maintaining a 4.0 throughout high school and earning an academic letter and bar. She was named to the all-region basketball team twice, was ranked in the top 20 statewide for basketball players, won offensive Player of the Year her junior year and has lettered 3 times in basketball and twice in volleyball.
After high school Rachel plans to attend the University of Alabama and hopes to eventually earn a law degree and become a corporate lawyer. She was escorted by her father, Mitchell Wilson.
Marshun Horton is the son of Nicole Dobbs. He is a member of the Central Lions Football Team and the Track & Field team. Marshun has been recognized as student of the month and player of the month numerous times. He plans to attend college and play football. After graduating from college Marshun plans to become a firefighter. He was escorted by his mother, Nicole Dobbs.
Andrew Maxwell is the son of Lisa and Shannon Maxwell. He is a member of student council, Pickleball Club, Environmental Club, and the Central High Shotgun Team. He also serves as one of the Presidents of Central High School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes. After high school he plans to attend West Georgia Technical College and pursue a degree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, while working full-time at his father’s company Maxwell Heating and Cooling. He spends his free time in the deer stand, on the lake, or on the golf course. He was escorted by his mother, Lisa Maxwell.
