Griffin leads Team DCS at Swim Across America event On Saturday, Sept. 21, Trojan senior Ryder Griffin joined 1,000 swimmers at Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Georgia, for Swim Across America-Atlanta’s 12th annual open-water event. This fundraiser supports the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Representing Team DCS and the Carrollton area, Ryder served as team co-captain and was a board member on Swim Across America’s Junior Advisory Board. Since joining in 2022, Ryder has raised more than $3,660 for childhood cancer research, actively participating in community events and fundraisers. Since 2021, Team DCS has raised a total of $19,613 for the cause. |

The pregame recognition will begin at 5:15pm and will celebrate senior team members for their contributions on and off the field. Trojans shine under the lights at Wingfoot XC Classic On Saturday night, the Trojan cross-country team took on fierce multi-state competition at the Wingfoot XC Classic in Cartersville and delivered standout performances under the lights. The event was highlighted by Dash Brackin’s 9th-place finish in the championship race with a time of 15:25 and Jet Richardson’s impressive 4th-place finish in the freshman race, clocking in at 17:54. Notably, freshman Camp Jennings also achieved a sub-16-minute finish of 15:58, further demonstrating the young team’s promising future. |
