I. Applicant Information
a. The applicant must be a student accepted to an accredited university or college, technical school or two-year college. Applicant must be majoring in a program in agriculture, consumer science, landscaping, plant science, animal science, environmental science, natural resources, horticulture, forestry or a related agriculture field.
d. The applicant must show a need for the scholarship.
e. Applicant must have the institution’s registrar mail an official transcript to the: Carroll County Cattlemen’s Association, Scholarship Committee, 900 Newnan Road, Carrollton, GA 30117.
II. Selection Process
a. The recipient will be selected by the scholarship committee of the Carroll County Cattlemen’s Association.
b. All completed applications will be considered by the committee and evaluated based on the information provided. An interview may be requested by the Committee.
c. Priority consideration will be given to those whose applications are complete and turned in by May 1. The scholarship will be awarded at the May Cattlemen’s meeting. Only one $1,000 scholarship will be given each year.
III. Payment
a. A check for the full amount of the scholarship will be made payable to the college of the selected recipient with the understanding that the funds will be used to defray the expenses directly associated with enrolling and attending the accredited college, university or technical school.
