A visit to Georgia’s east coast has turned tragic for a west Georgia family.
According to a Facebook post by the Glynn County Police Department:
Glynn County Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman found Tuesday morning at Gould’s Beach on Saint Simons Island.
59 year-old Judy Marlow of Bremen, Georgia, was last seen by her husband, Mickel, when she went for a walk at Gould’s Inlet approximately 6:30am Monday. She was first reported missing to GCPD on Monday which initiated a search – including one k9 unit – but the search was unsuccessful until Marlow’s body was found Tuesday just after 7am near the public beach access point at 11th Street.
The cause of death is unknown and there are no visible signs of injury to Marlow’s body nor signs of foul play. The investigation is on-going and autopsy is scheduled to be completed this week.
