A 48-year old Bremen woman is in stable condition in an Atlanta hospital Wednesday. Police saying she was stabbed by her son multiple times.
Bremen Police Chief Keith Pesnell says 17-year old Peyton Cooke, Jr. is in police custody and has been charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of aggravated battery. He is also charged with two counts of cruelty to children in the second degree; two children were present during the incident but were not harmed.
Investigators believe Cooke stabbed his mother, Tammy Watson, at least eleven times, during a heated exchange between the two at a North Georgia Avenue residence.
