A 48-year old Bremen woman is in critical condition in an Atlanta hospital Wednesday morning. Police say she was stabbed by her son multiple times.
Bremen Police Chief Keith Pesnell says 17-year old Peyton Cooke, Jr. is in police custody but has not yet been arrested.
Investigators believe Cooke stabbed his mother, Tammy Watson, at least eleven times, during a heated exchange between the two at a North Georgia Avenue residence.
“We are early in this investigation,” Pesnell told WLBB Radio Wednesday morning. “We are appreciative of the witnesses we have spoken with already.”
