According to Georgia Department of Public Safety Public Information Officer, Konswello Monroe, these are the preliminary findings:
On June 21, at approximately 10:05 p.m., GSP Post 4 Villa Rica responded to a single vehicle crash on Ledbetter Road which resulted in a fatality.
A gray Mazda was traveling west on Ledbetter Road, when the driver, Jeffrey Chapman, age 58, failed to maintain his lane, lost control and struck a tree.
Mr. Chapman succumbed to his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
