Carrollton Fire crews remain at the scene of a Thursday morning house fire.
Fire Chief Jimmy Bearden told WLBB Radio: crews responded to a home on Mitchell Circle, off Stripling Chapel Road after 6:00am Thursday.
Two female occupants of the home suffered injury and were life-flighted to Grady Hospital in Atlanta. One of the females is believed to be a teenager. The other in her 50s.
The structure suffered extensive damage, according to Bearden.
Carrollton Fire engines number 21, 22, 23 and a ladder truck responded to the fire. Carroll County Fire engine 5 assisted with clearing an area for the life-flight helicopters to land.
Area roads that had to be closed off this morning have been re-opened.
