Authorities have in custody one of three men they believe was involved in a number of recent break-ins and alleged thefts in the Sunset Hills community of Carrollton.
Carrollton Police Investigator Chad Taylor says Cobb County Police located the suspect Monday afternoon.
“Police in Cobb County saw a vehicle we had identified as being related to our case near the Six-Flags exit on Interstate-20,” Taylor said. “A small chase ensued. They boxed the vehicle in. The suspect rammed two police cars. He left the vehicle and fled on foot. They apprehended him a short time later. He had in his possession one of the guns allegedly stolen from our jurisdiction.”
Taylor says authorities believe the suspect is a male seen on surveillance video obtained from a Sunset Hills residence while alleged crimes were being committed.
“We have identified him as 18-year old Jordan Houston from the Douglas County area,” Taylor said. “We believe all three of the suspects in this case are from that area.”
Sunset Hills residents have reported numerous alleged break-ins and stolen items in recent weeks including three guns, a Toyota Tacoma, and a number of other random items.
