The number of students in the Carrollton City Schools District and Haralson County Schools District testing positive for covid-19 or quarantined due to possible exposure to the virus increased during the last week according to numbers released by the districts on Friday.
Eleven of Haralson Countys 3269 students reported a positive test last week. That number was up from three the week prior. The number of students in quarantine is up to 87 from 52 the week before.
In the Carrollton City Schools District, 22 students are listed with a positive covid-19 status. That is up from 5 during the first week of classes. Students quarantined for possible exposure rose from 49 after the first week to 116 by the end of last week.
The Carroll County School District releases its covid-19 numbers on Monday.
