(press release) On March 22nd, 2025 Deputies responded to an address in the area Holly Court in reference to runaway juveniles possibly being in the area. Upon the deputies arrival they found the reported runaway juveniles were there but had left before the Deputies Arrival. While at the residence Deputies were requested to make contact with two other juveniles that were at the residence who did not have permission to be at the home.Â
The homeowner also warned Deputies that the juveniles were armed before they entered the residence. The juveniles were quickly detained as one of them reached for a hand gun that was in their possession upon the Deputies making contact with them. Jayden Gonzalez (17 years old) and Waylan Patterson (17 years old) were found to be in possession approximately $800 in small denominational bills, Glock pistols, additional magazines for the weapons, a 100 round drum mag for a Glock pistol, several grams of marijuana individually packaged for sales, and pills that were not a controlled substance in an unmarked pill bottle.Â
Both Juveniles were given their Miranda warning and agreed to make statements without an attorney present. Jayden admitted to selling the marijuana and attempting to sell the pills that were found in his possession. Both were taken to the Sheriff’s Office for further questioning. In the interview, Jayden indicated that there were more weapons at his residence on Betty Lane, but denied having any more illicit drugs there.
A search warrant was executed at the residence on Betty Lane after consent to search the residence was denied by the homeowners after Deputies observed an overwhelming odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the residence. During the execution of the search warrant several other firearms were located inside a safe within the home. One weapon found was observed to be an AK-47 rifle with the safety removed, and a glock pistol that had a glock “switch” installed which bypasses the safety measures of the firearm and allows it to fire automatically. Additional marijuana was also found that was packaged individually for sales.
Stacy Long, mother of Jayden, was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine and was also taken into custody. All arrested subjects were transported to the Carroll County Jail and were processed for their charges. Additional charges are possible as this is an active investigation.
