(Carrollton, Georgia) Central High School senior Mikya Long was
awarded the McDonald’s Leadership Award by local franchise owners David and Merry Neisler.
To be considered for the award the student must have a high grade point average, be active in both student and community events, as well as being grounded in good character. Mikya is an athlete, leading her volleyball team into playoffs and her flag football team to a state runner-up finish.
Mikya was given a medallion to wear during graduation as well as a $500 scholarship.
