An Anniston, Alabama man is released from the Carroll County Jail after posting a $30,000 bond.
The man is 27-year old Tamarius Swain and he is accused of punching and choking a pregnant woman in Villa Rica this past Sunday.

Villa Rica Police released the following statement:
On 04/08/18 at approximately 6:00 PM the Villa Rica Police Department was advised of a domestic incident on Alton Circle where a male suspect had choked and punched a pregnant female. The suspect had left the scene but was identified as Tamarius Swain, 27 years old, from Anniston Ala. The victim of the assault went to the hospital and began to receive messages from Swain. Upon returning home she discovered Swain had forced entry into the home and was waiting for the family.
Swain attacked the victimÂ’s boyfriend and officers were notified of the fight. As the officers were arriving, Swain was seen running towards the First Pentecostal Church on Thomas Dorsey Dr. As the officers tried to stop him, Swain ran inside the church and hid. While the officers were searching for the suspect, a church member checked and found Swain hiding under a bed in the church nursery where a disabled person was lying. Church members were able to hold the suspect and release him to the officers.
Swain was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Obstruction of Officers, Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Trespass, 4 counts of Cruelty to Children, 2 counts of Battery, Terroristic Threats, Criminal Damage to Property, and Burglary. He is currently being held at the Carroll Co Jail.
