Decostar cutting the ribbon for its new facility in Carrollton on Wednesday. The new 101,000 foot expansion is expected to result in 40 to 50 new jobs for the area at an average salary of $41,000.
It has been 17 years since Decostar set up shop in Carrollton and according to Carroll County Chamber President Daniel Jackson, was the first successful industry recruitment for the economic development organization, Carroll Tomorrow.
In April of 2018, Carrollton city council agreed to provide some tax relief to Decostar, who remains one of the regionÂ’s largest employers.
The cost of the new project is estimated at $12.9 million.
