Four candidates putt their names in the hat for Carroll County Chairman during the first day of qualifying. Among those qualifying: District 4 County Commissioner Michelle Morgan, District 5 County Commissioner Lee Powers, Â former District 2 Commissioner Vickie Anderson, and former District 4 Commissioner John Wilson.
Qualifying for the ChairmanÂ’s seat will continue until Friday at noon. Since two sitting council members resigned their position to run for chair, qualifying for the vacant seats of District 4 and 5 will be held from May 8-10.
The special election for all positions will be held on June 18th.
