A former local police officer and youth pastor – has been indicted for the second time this year – alleged to have performed indecent acts with at least two juveniles.
Former Haralson County Sheriff’s Deputy and Bremen Police Officer Danny Keith Streetman was charged with 2 counts of child molestation in February following an investigation conducted by the GBI.
A trial on those charges is scheduled for later this year.
Last Tuesday, the 23-person Haralson County Grand Jury determined that investigators had provided enough evidence to formally charge Streetman with new crimes involving a second victim.
A bond hearing is scheduled for September third.
The indictment for the latter – alleges that Streetman enticed a child sometime between the 31st day of July, 2015, and the 31st day of July, 2016.
A Haralson County Grand Jury last week also indicted a pair of brothers from Villa Rica – on seventeen (17) counts – for their alleged roles in the shooting death of 19-year-old T.J. Ware at a Bremen motel on June 17.
23-year old Joshua Blair and 20-year old Michael Blair face murder charges.
The indictment claims that Michael Blair contacted Ware via cell phone to purchase marijuana. They allegedly agreed to meet at the Red Rose Inn in Haralson County. The brothers are also alleged to have traveled there with an unidentified male named ‘Mook.’ The indictment alleges that upon arrival, Michael entered room 110 occupied by Mr. Ware, while Joshua and “Mook” stood outside with firearms. A scuffle occurred between Michael and Wade inside…and shots were fired resulting in the death of Wade.
The Blair brothers remain in the Haralson County Jail. The suspect – identified as ‘Mook’ – remains at large.
