Join thie city of Rome on Rome’s Town Green for The 9th Annual Rome Shakespeare Festival, June 13-16 and 20-23! This year brings two exciting outdoor productions to the Rome and Floyd County community, The Merry Wives of Windsor by William Shakespeare & A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams. The festival opens on Thursday, June 13 with The Merry Wives of Windsor and then Friday, June 14 will be A Streetcar Named Desire, with the following performance nights alternating between the two productions. The event is completely free*, and you’re welcome to bring a picnic blanket, chairs, food & snacks to enjoy a summer evening under the stars!
