Carrollton High School senior Latasha Griffin was awarded the Dr. T.M. Martin Scholarship at the 36th annual CHS Academic Awards program April 21 at the Joshua Mabry Center for the Arts. Carrollton Surgical Group awards the scholarship each year to honor the memory of Dr. Martin, a longtime physician and supporter of Carrollton City Schools. The award is given to a third or fourth-year healthcare student who has demonstrated academic excellence and plans to pursue a career in the healthcare field. Dr. Thomas E. Reeve IV presented the award.
