Some of Carroll Countys parks may soon be adding an additional attraction for visitors. County Commissioners are considering a memorandum of understanding with the Southern Off Road Bicycle Association that could result in the advocacy organization designing, constructing, and maintaining a series of paths for bicyclists. County Community Development Director, Ben Skipper said for avid cyclists, this could be another venue in Carroll County.
The concept is that they would build off road bicycle trails throughout the woods and the parks in the county. These guys have trails all over metro Atlanta, said Skipper.
Commissioners will listen to a presentation from SORBA officials on Thursday. The paths would not connect with the Carrollton Greenbelt.
Skipper said, if approved, parks in the southern portion of the county would likely see the trails first.
