On Saturday, May 9, 2020 an 83 year old white female was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound at her residence located in the 1900 block of Burwell-Mt. Zion Road.
“We are asking the public to contact 911 if you saw or heard anything suspicious during the hours of 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm in the area,” Public Information Officer, Ashley Hulsey said Sunday. ” Even tips that seem insignificant can prove to be helpful no matter how small.”
Deputies also wish to advise the public to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings and contact 911 to report any suspicious activity.
Hulsey says the sheriffÂ’s office at this time will release no other information due to pending autopsy, this being an active investigation, and to preserve the integrity of the case.
