Ten kilos of cocaine with an estimated street value of $350,000 was seized by Carrollton Police investigators from a Carrollton hotel room where a 41-year old Carroll County man and his wife were staying last week.
41-year old Anthony Allums and 34-year old Crystal Allums were arrested Thursday on un-related charges. They had asked a family member to return to their hotel room at the Roadway Inn on Centennial Road and collect their belongings.
While packing their property, the relative discovered 8 to 10 duct-taped packages inside a duffel bag, which he suspected to be narcotics. He contacted Carrollton Police and investigators confirmed the discovery. Carrollton Police Captain Shannon Cantrell says the 10-kilos, worth more than a third of a million dollars, is the largest single drug stop within Carrollton city limits.
Anthony Allums has been charged with trafficking and violation of probation. He was denied bond this week. Crystal Allums has been charged with violating probation. A bond has not yet been set for her.
