Carroll County government officials are discussing the possibility of re-opening county parks as early as May 4th for residents to walk, run or hike.
“We’re very early in this review process, Colin,” Morgan told WLBB Radio Saturday. “There are a number of factors to consider, obviously—and we’ll be discussing this for the next several days.”
Morgan points out that prison inmates play a valuable role in maintaining county parks, and officials must consider the importance of keeping them away from being exposed to the COVID-19 virus so that it does not spread in the local prison.
If parks are able to open by May 4th, residents should expect bathrooms to remain closed, as a safety precaution.
