“The future of Carroll County Elections is secure with Michael as its’ lead person. Elections will be performed in such a way that our community will have continued confidence in the honest outcome and results.” Interim Director Keith West said in a statement in reference to passing the director torch to Michael.

The public announcement of Michael Ock appointment was made by Board of Commissioners Chairman Michelle Morgan at the Poll Workers Appreciation Luncheon held this past Friday. The announcement was met with applause from the 100+ poll workers in attendance. Chairman Morgan stated, “I am so grateful for having Keith West step in to run our Elections and making recommendations to improve the experience for poll workers, voters, and staff.”  “Micheal’s work experience brings this same perspective as our Elections Department navigates all future elections.” Chairman Morgan continued.

“I appreciate this opportunity to do my part in ensuring that the Elections process in Carroll County is beyond reproach.  I plan to continue the initiatives we’ve begun this year in improving the efficiency of our operations and to foster the confidence of our citizens through transparency, active community engagement, and education efforts reinforcing our absolute commitment to fair, accurate, and trustworthy elections.” Michael Ock stated about the announcement.

Michael expressed his excitement for returning back to his roots in Carroll County to serve as our next Elections Supervisor and give back to a community that he says gave him so much growing up. Carroll County is proud to bring this Bowdon native back home and we are excited to see what he continues to do to further our commitment to the security and integrity that our Elections Department is known for.
