–University Of West Georgia will move to online instruction for all courses for the remainder of the semester with extremely limited exceptions. Students are not allowed to return to campus until they receive permission from their institution, which will be forthcoming soon. Additionally, residence halls will be closed, with minimal exceptions for students unable to return home or who cannot find housing elsewhere.Students will receive specific instructions from campus leaders regarding when they will be allowed to return to campus to retrieve their belongings from residence halls. Students must follow those instructions.
–West Georgia Technical College All WGTC classes will resume March 23 in an online learning environment. Students, faculty and staff should monitor email and www.westgatech.edu/coronavirus-information-and-resources for more details and further updates.
-ArtFest 2020 sponsored by Villa Rica Arts Coalition – scheduled for March 28 has been cancelled.

–Carroll County Ag Extension 4-H Program Activities are cancelled as they are following what the County and City schools are doing.

–Carrroll County Elections Due to mounting concerns over the Covid-19 Virus and the current State of Emergency, Secretary Raffensperger has moved the Presidential Preference Primary (and attached special elections) from March 24, 2020 to coincide with the State Primary scheduled for May 19, 2020.
The Presidential Preference Primary (and associated special elections) has been moved/postponed. It has not been cancelled.
Every vote already cast, whether by mail or in person, WILL be counted in May for the Presidential Preference Primary and any local special elections along with votes cast in the state primary.
–Carroll County Water Authority Effective March 16, the CCWA administrative office and lobby are closed to the public until further notice. CCWA’s administrative office drivethrough window will remain open during normal business hours (Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). CCWA urges customers to make payments from home by accessing our website at www.ccwageorgia.com or automated phone payment system by calling 770-832-1277 and selecting Option 1. CCWA customers may also mail payments to P.O. Box 739, Carrollton, GA 30112.
-Carroll County Tax Commissioners Office located at 423 College Street, Carrollton that serves the citizens in the assistance of tax and tag related business is closed to the public in accordance with the guidelines set forth during this State of Emergency declared by State and Local Officials to limit contact to help flatten the curve and spread of COVID-19.
-Carroll County Training Center will be closed for two weeks beginning March 16th and reopening on Monday March 30th.
–Carroll County Job Fair scheduled for March 17 at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Carrollton has been cancelled.
-Carroll County SheriffÂ’s Office Inmate visitations are suspended until further notice in an effort to reduce the number of people that employees and inmates come in contact with to ensure everyoneÂ’s well being during this time. There will be no public fingerprinting until further notice.
As of Wednesday, March 18, 2020 the lobby for the Criminal Investigations Division will be closed to the public. –Carroll County Board of Education has cancelled the regularly scheduled Work Session/Board Meeting on Monday, March 16, 2020. The Carroll County Board of Education has rescheduled the Work Session/Board Meeting for March 19, at 5:30 p.m.
-Carroll County Bar AssociationÂ’s Kentucky Derby Fundraising Gala scheduled for May 2, 2020 has been cancelled.
-Carroll County CASA: Grand Night For CASA fundraiser has been cancelled.
–City of Carrollton is postponing and/or canceling all large public events, meetings, programs and classes for a two-week period, or until further guidance recommends otherwise. This includes, but is not limited to, all city-sponsored events, city-permitted events, tournaments and rentals in city-owned facilities. Cancellations and rescheduled dates of affected events will be announced on their respective social media pages, our carrolltonga.com and department webpages.
Beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, all City facilities will be closed to the public until March 29. This includes, but is not limited to; City Hall, Parks and Recreation facilities, city parks, Center for the Arts, Senior Center, Depot on Bradley and The Amp. Our drive-through window at City Hall will remain open for utility bill payment, but we strongly encourage customers to utilize online services for utility billing, permits, etc. Some services will also be available by phone.
-Carrollton Police In an effort to protect everyone, effective immediately, access to the police department will be closed to the public.

To pay fines, you can go to carrolltonpd.com, click on “Pay Citations,” and follow the directions. You may also call 770-834-4451 and choose option 3 to pay over the phone.
The April 6th Municipal Court date has been postponed. A new date will be released when determined. Any further court dates are currently on the calendar and changes will be made if need be as this fluid situation evolves.
–Carrollton City Schools Carrollton City Schools will remain closed until April 13, the Monday following spring break. At-home learning will continue through April 3.
–Cleburne County Schools will be closed Effective March 17, 2020 – Cleburne County Schools will be closed until April 13, 2020.
–Circles of West Georgia has cancelled program meetings from March 13 through March 29. This includes Monday’s board meeting.
-College Board (SAT): The May 2, 2020 SAT administration is canceled. Makeup exams for the March 14 administration (scheduled for March 28) are also canceled. Registered students will receive refunds. College Board will provide future additional SAT testing opportunities for students as soon as possible in place of canceled administrations. The June 6, 2020 SAT administration is not yet canceled.
-ACT Standardized Tests: ACT has rescheduled its April 4th national test date to June 13th across the United States in response to concerns about the spread of COVID-19. All students registered for the April 4th test date will receive an email from ACT in the next few days informing them of the postponement and instructions for free rescheduling to June 13th or a future national test date.
–Coweta County Schools closure will be extended to March 31, 2020.

-Haralson County Stacy Williams For Sheriff Meet & Greet scheduled for Friday March 20 at Muse Farm in Bremen has been cancelled. A make-up date has not been scheduled.
-Haralson County Effective Monday, March 16, 2020 Haralson County Government will restrict access to public County Buildings and Facilities. Haralson County will continue to provide services, and all County employees will be required to report daily as normal. As this situation continues to develop, adjustments may be made, if necessary, to facilitate the delivery of services. Residents needing to conduct business with a County department should contact that department by phone or email.

–Haralson County Sheriff’s Office is suspending public fingerprinting, all inmate visitation and inmate work details through April 6, 2020.
-Heard County Schools closure will be extended to March 31, 2020.
-Keep Carroll Beautiful is closing its office to the public and suspending the Adopt-A-Road and AdoptA-Trail programs until further notice. Keep Carroll Beautiful will also not accept any recyclables at its office. The City of Carrollton continues regular trash and recycling pick up and Carroll County maintains regular operating hours for the convenience centers. The Great GreenBelt Cleanup 2020 has been postponed to May 23rd, 2020.
-The League of Women Voters of Carrollton-Carroll County The remainder of the Great Decisions meetings are suspended. We will reschedule for spring or summer, pending date availability of our speakers. The League of Women Voters of Carrollton-Carroll County is canceling its Suffragette Exhibit and Opening Reception, previously scheduled for March 16th- 27th at the Historic Carroll County Court House.
–Mill Town Music Hall has postponed upcoming concerts of Steve Wariner and Crystal Gayle. Rescheduled dates will be announced soon.
–The City of Mt. Zion Court has rescheduled the March appearance date to April 16th. For more information contact Mt. Zion City at 770-832-1622 ext. 1.
Mt. Zion City Hall will continue to run on a regular schedule as of now. Mt. Zion Public Library & Mt. Zion Community Center will be CLOSED to ALL public
March 15th – March 29th. Mt. Zion Recreation Department: ALL activities are CANCELED thru March 29th. This includes the Mt. Zion City Rec.Gym.
–Neva Lomason Memorial Library will close Friday March 13 at 1:00pm. The library will remain closed for up to two weeks.
–Oak Mountain Academy will remain closed until April 13, the Monday following spring break.
–Paulding County Schools will be closed beginning March 16 and will remain closed until further notice – likely for two weeks at least.
–Polk School District has said it will be closing all of its schools beginning Monday, and continue until April 13.
-‘The Sound Of Medicine’ to benefit Rapha Clinic of West Georgia was scheduled for March 19th at Mill Town Music Hall. The event has been rescheduled for May 14, 2020.
–The City of Tallapoosa has closed its Lobby to the Public.  City Hall is still Open and Doing Business, but for safety the city is trying to limit personal contact.

Senior Center, Library, Recreation Department, and Police Department are also closed temporarily to the Public as the City joins with other agencies in trying to limit large gathering of individuals where the danger of spreading a contagion might occur.
-Tallapoosa Dogwood Festival scheduled for April 11 has been postponed until October 3,2020.
-The City of Villa Rica: The Museum and the Train at Pine Mountain Gold Museum will close. This includes scheduled birthday parties, field trips, tours, panning for gold, etc. during this time period. However, the park will remain open to the public. The Gold Dust Park Indoor Facility (Including the Senior Center) will close. However, the outdoor facilities will remain open to the public and Home Delivery Meals will continue.
–Villa Rica Public Library closes to the public from March 16 -29, 2020. However, the drive-thru will remain open .
