–University Of West Georgia suspends instruction for two weeks from Monday, March 16.
–West Georgia Technical College suspends classes and activities March 16-20. All campuses and locations will be closed.
–Bremen City Schools closed for two weeks beginning Monday, March 16.
–Carroll County Ag Extension 4-H Program Activities are cancelled as they are following what the County and City schools are doing.
-Carroll County Courthouse Both Juries summoned for March 23rd court cases need not report.
-Carroll County Training Center will be closed for two weeks beginning March 16th and reopening on Monday March 30th.
–Carroll County Job Fair scheduled for March 17 at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Carrollton has been cancelled.
–Carroll County Schools will close beginning Monday, March 16 for an expected two-week period.
–Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Inmate visitations are suspended until further notice in an effort to reduce the number of people employees and inmates come in contact with to ensure everyone’s well being during this time.
There will be no public fingerprinting until further notice.
–Carroll County Board of Education has cancelled the regularly scheduled Work Session/Board Meeting on Monday, March 16, 2020. The Carroll County Board of Education has rescheduled the Work Session/Board Meeting for March 19, at 5:30 p.m.
–City of Carrollton is postponing and/or canceling all large public events, meetings, programs and classes for a two-week period, or until further guidance recommends otherwise. This includes, but is not limited to, all city-sponsored events, city-permitted events, tournaments and rentals in city-owned facilities. Cancellations and rescheduled dates of affected events will be announced on their respective social media pages, our carrolltonga.com and department webpages.
Beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, all City facilities will be closed to the public until March 29. This includes, but is not limited to; City Hall, Parks and Recreation facilities, city parks, Center for the Arts, Senior Center, Depot on Bradley and The Amp. Our drive-through window at City Hall will remain open for utility bill payment, but we strongly encourage customers to utilize online services for utility billing, permits, etc. Some services will also be available by phone.
–Carrollton City Schools will close beginning Monday, March 16 for possibly two weeks.
–Cleburne County Schools will be closed Thursday, March 19 through the end of Spring Break Friday, April 10. Due to the state of emergency issued by the Governor, these days will not have to be made up.
–Circles of West Georgia has cancelled program meetings from March 13 through March 29. This includes Monday’s board meeting.
–Coweta County Schools will remain closed until March 27th.
–Douglas County Schools will be closed from March 16 through March 27 with all students and employees returning on March 30.
-Floyd County Schools will remain closed for all staff and students through March 25 with plans to resume classes on the following day.
–Haralson County Schools will close for three weeks beginning March 16. Students return to class April 7. The third week is spring break.
–Haralson County Sheriff’s Office is suspending public fingerprinting, all inmate visitation and inmate work details through April 6, 2020.
-Heard County Schools are closed from March 16 through March 29.
-Keep Carroll Beautiful Out of concern for public health and following the closures of public facilities throughout the community, The Great GreenBelt Cleanup 2020Â has been postponed to May 23rd, 2020.
-The League of Women Voters of Carrollton-Carroll County The remainder of the Great Decisions meetings are suspended. We will reschedule for spring or summer, pending date availability of our speakers. The League of Women Voters of Carrollton-Carroll County is canceling its Suffragette Exhibit and Opening Reception, previously scheduled for March 16th- 27th at the Historic Carroll County Court House.
–Oak Mountain Academy is closed from Monday, March 16th – Friday, March 27. The Spring Gala originally scheduled for Saturday, March 14th will be rescheduled for a later date.
–Mill Town Music Hall has postponed upcoming concerts of Steve Wariner and Crystal Gayle. Rescheduled dates will be announced soon.
–Neva Lomason Memorial Library will close Friday March 13 at 1:00pm. The library will remain closed for up to two weeks.
–Paulding County Schools will be closed beginning March 16 and will remain closed until further notice – likely for two weeks at least.
–Polk School District has said it will be closing all of its schools beginning Monday, and continue through Friday, March 27.  At that point, the school district will re-evaluate the situation.
-‘The Sound Of Medicine’ to benefit Rapha Clinic of West Georgia was scheduled for March 19th at Mill Town Music Hall. The event has been rescheduled for May 14, 2020.
-The City of Villa Rica: The Museum and the Train at Pine Mountain Gold Museum will close. This includes scheduled birthday parties, field trips, tours, panning for gold, etc. during this time period. However, the park will remain open to the public. The Gold Dust Park Indoor Facility (Including the Senior Center) will close. However, the outdoor facilities will remain open to the public and Home Delivery Meals will continue.
–Villa Rica Public Library closes to the public from March 16 -29, 2020. However, the drive-thru will remain open .
