On Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 12:25 AM, deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of Price Creek Road in reference to a domestic already occurred. On arrival, deputies observed obvious red marks on the throat of the victim. Deputies spoke to the victim, who stated that she and her husband had gone into a room, and he had started strangling her. The victim was able to get away and another person in that home witnessed the victim running out of the room crying. Deputies collected witness statements and photographs of the injuries to the victim and placed the offender under arrest.

     Adam Gregory Mixon, a 36-year-old W/M out of Buchanan, GA is now charged with Aggravated Assault by Strangulation, FVA (Family Violence Act).
