Carrollton Police say an argument resulted in at least one shot fired, striking a victim in the leg Friday. He has been transported to hospital.
At approximately 12-noon Friday, Carrollton Police and Carroll County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call of shots fired near Nizzear Lane and Brixton Circle, south of the Carrollton by-pass.
Upon arrival, a suspect could not be located.
The Carrollton City Schools District and Central High School were placed on lockdown as a suspect was sought.
Investigators located the alleged shooter and took him into custody around 1:00pm.
Additional information will be released by police.
