Consideration for a new county ordinance intended to protect outside pets will be delayed at least another month following a need for clarification of the phrasing used in it.
The Carroll County Humane Society has asked the Carroll County Board of Commissioners to approve a new ordinance they initially hoped would protect outside pets from extreme weather and allow them to be more mobile, but numerous issues including the changing of elected officials in county government over the last year have delayed the board from voting on the proposal.
The ordinance was initially placed on the agenda for this evenings county commissioner meeting but has since been pulled.
