(CarrollCounty, GA PRESS RELEASE) Its official. Carroll County Commission Chair,Michelle Morgan, will be running for re-election to a full term as Chairman. She was elected to her current position in the Special Election Runoff last July.
Last year, I knocked on almost 3,000 doors during my campaign for Chairman, my love for Carroll County growing with each open door. That effort helped to frame my role as Chairman and cast a vision for my work in our great county.
My vision as your Carroll County Commission Chair is simple; keep Carroll County great by protecting our taxpayers, growing businesses, keeping taxes low, supporting public safety, improving our infrastructure and protecting rural communities by safeguarding our agricultural heritage and values. Above all, my goal is to listen to you, the people, first and foremost, and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to lead.
I have taken the priorities of the voters to county government and used my business experience to lead efforts to roll back the property tax millage rate and helped deliver pay raises to our public safety personnel and hardworking county employees. But more importantly, I have remained active and visible in every part of Carroll County working to meet and listen to you, our citizens.
These first six months in office have been a whirlwind of change, progress and so much more, and I look forward to continuing to go to work in service of Carroll County. To do so, I humbly ask for your continued support.
