On 01/08/2024 Investigator Bristow responded to Tanner Carrollton in reference to an alleged child molestation. Upon arrival he spoke with the five year female victims mother, who advised that Her boyfriend, Rodney Yearta, stayed at home and watched her two children while she was at work. The mother advised that when she got home at around 4:00 she noticed that her daughters lips were swollen and eventually took her daughter to the hospital where blood was discovered in her panties and vaginal area. The five year old disclosed to her mother than Rodney put his “no no square in her no no square”.
A search warrant was executed on the residence and evidence of a sexual assault was discovered and collected. Yearta was not on scene but was found to be at his mother’s. A search warrant was executed there and he was arrested. Yearta’s DNA was collected.
A formal forensic interview is pending on the victim.
Yearta has been charged with 3 counts of felony AGGRAVATED CHILD MOLESTATION , 2 counts of felony CHILD MOLESTATION, AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, KIDNAPPING, RAPE, and 2 counts of CRUELTY TO CHILDREN-CAUSES EXCESSIVE PHYSICAL OR MENTAL PAIN.
He remains in the Carroll County Jail on Wednesday.
