According to Carroll County PIO, Ashley Hulsey, a call came in around 1am this morning of a house fire from an occupant of the residence.
Upon arrival the house was engulfed and an occupant was rescued.
Rescue crews worked on the patient for nearly 45 minutes and did get a faint pulse back at one time but unfortunately the victim passed away.
The victim has been identified as 36-year old Michael Keith Gilroy.
Investigators have not released a possible cause of the fire.
