Seventeen Carrollton High School students placed in the Georgia Rotary Clubs Laws of Life Essay Contest, which is designed to encourage teenagers to articulate their values and ideals through storytelling to recognize and reward good character. Locally, the Carrollton Dawnbreakers Rotary Club sponsors the contest. Grade-level winners and honorable mentions were honored at a breakfast hosted by Rotary on April 30 at Sunset Hills Country Club.
Honorable mentions are 9th graders Conor Mercer, Harrison Tisinger, and Kaylee Velasquez-Lopez; 10th graders Gabby Pereschuk and Jenna Cook; 11th graders Paisley Corry, Evan Moody, Logan Rogers, and Sam Robinson; and 12th graders Enyll Barrios, Charlotte Collins, Blakelee Isbill, and Jackson Westbrook.
